On 17.3.18 - The women's 2nd XI travelled down to Ayr and played a challenging and intense match in freezing conditions. The girls started strong from the start and had a couple of chances in the first 15 minutes from Phillippa and Amber. The team developed and grew into the game and was able to get a few short corners. Unfortunately, we couldn't get any outcomes and half time came. After a great team talk everyone was eager for the second half. Holly and Cara had great runs down the line and create many chances for the strikers. After pushing high, Ayr hit on the counter attack which lead to a goal. None the less Kelburne kept their heads high and pushed for the equalizer. Great play from Anna and Connie kept a strong back line and helped to push the team forward. This lead to many opportunities however Kelburne were unable to put the ball in the back of the net. Great play from everyone who made the trip and we are looking forward to playing Sterling Wanderers next week.
