Prolife Kelburne Mens 4's get valuable victory

Prolife Kelburne 4's took on Uddingston 3's on their new pitch at Uddingston Sports Club A game where we really needed a result was always going to be a tough one Uddingston pressed hard from the start, causing problems down both wings with the a Kelburne back four working hard to clear their lines A shot from an Uddingston penalty corner was deflected over the Kelburne keeper giving them a 1-0 lead Ten minutes later it was 2-0 a well worked breakout and some fine 1-2 play resulting in the second goal Kelburne rallied and pressed hard getting a couple of penalty corners but to no effect Half time 2-0 Second half saw Kelburne press from the restart, rewarded with a couple of Penalty corners and scoring from the third, Duff on target to slot in the rebound Another penalty corner and a second goal, Morgan this time slotting ball home Uddingston continued to press hard, Alan McGill running strongly and breaking into the circle on several occasions However they could not convert from any penalty corners a combination of good goalkeeping from Muir and solid defending on the goal line With time running out and a draw looking likely Duff popped up yet again to slot in Kelburnes 3 and winner A good team performance with youngsters Thomas and Fraser Whiting both playing well and gaining in confidence
