Kelburne Mens' 4s Lose Out to GHK

On 7.9.19 - The Men's 4s started their Division 2 campaign away to GHK looking to carry on from the success from last season. The game got off to a frantic start with the action being end to end. GHK scored the early goal via a short corner before Kelburne had settled down and started to pass the ball around and building the play creating several chances and winning short corners. Kelburne was soon level via a short corner with Shaun Jardine-Malone putting the ball in from close range after a short corner 'routine'. The 4s continued to create opportunities and short corners but unfortunately could not capatilise. As the half came to a close, a lapse at the back gifted GHK the lead, 2-1 at half time. The second half started at a frantic pace with the intensity rising all the time. Both teams had chances as the game became scrappy but could not gain the advantage. As Kelburne looked to level the game GHK caught the boys napping to grab a 3rd followed by finishing off the scoring with a late short corner. The final score 4-1 to GHK. A scoreline that didn't reflect the good play from the 4s but lots of positives to take to next Saturday’s game against Clydesdale 4s, 2pm push back at Linwood, On-X.
