Saturday 19th march.

Kelburne started well and managed to get some early shots off. Kelburne managed to keep up the pressure and the ball broke to Dick Donaldson whose shot was deflected into the goal by Ciaran Willcox in the 11th minute. Shortly after Kelburne won a short corner which was played out to Jay Berry. He took a good shot but the keeper was able to save it. Unfortunately Giffnock was able to level the game with a goal in the 22nd minute. Kelburne tried to get back into the lead with a short corner but the goalkeeper was there to save it.

Kelburne looked promising at the start of the second half when they received a short corner after a good effort on target by Craig Speirs. During the short corner the opposition’s keeper made a good save to keep Jambo’s flick from going in. Soon after Giffnock managed to break but Ewan Carmichael was able to keep the score level with a great saving tackle. Kelburne kept the pressure up when they received another short corner. David Magee’s shot from the corner was deflected hitting off the post and rolling in on the 52nd minute. There was some good play from Giffnock but it broke down due to good defending from Gordon Martin. Kelburne was the dominant side for the remainder of the second half with Giffnock creating very few chances. Kelburne had a succession of long corners but were unable so score a third goal.
