Men's 4's continue to impress

The Men?s 4th team continued their winning ways with a great home win against Irvine 1s at Glasgow Green on Saturday.

The team started well and in a 1st half which they controlled and showed a good level of performance, they were able to head to the break 2-0 ahead, the goals coming from Alan Gilies and Stuart O?Connell.

Irvine started the second half brightly and looked dangerous on the break without creating any clear cut chances. The 4s then mounted a serious of strong attacks, winning several short corners, which led to 2 more goals being added by Willie Allan and Ewan Carmichael to clinch the win.

As the clock ran down Irvine were able to grab a consolation goal but this could not take the shine off a good win.

Final score was a 4-1 win for the home side, with strong performances from the teams younger players, Adam Morton, Alex Bogan and Shaun Jardine-Malone as well as a solid display from the ever reliable David Ogilvie in goals.
