1st Quarter saw the Kelburne team come out strong putting lots of pressure on their opponents. The defence were solid at the back stopping GHK from getting many shots on target and our keeper Cheryl Twumasi easily deflected anything that squeezed through.
In the 2nd quarter after a quick pep talk by coach Shaun Jardine-Malone the team came out firing on all cylinders and quickly put together fluid passes from the back all the way forward allowing Kerri O'Hara to slot two goals away after some superb team play.
Half time came just in time to give the 12 person squad a bit of a rest and talk over some tactics
Going into the 3rd quarter the team work solidly to create chances and managed to win a sequence of short corners, on the 3rd one Jen Morgan managed to wrong foot the keeper and get the ball to hit the backboard.
In the last quarter the team were getting tired but continued to push forward. Holding the middle of the pitch and making it difficult for the opposition to break through. The team kept fighting all the way the final whistle with Esther Walker scoring the 4th goal just as the final whistle was blown.
Fantastic performance from all players.
The team play again next Saturday 29th against Argyle at Glasgow Green National Hockey Center.
